Soap Ladder

A soap ladder is a simple, effective wooden rack that lifts your bar soap above the surface of your shower shelf or sink, allowing water to drain away and air to circulate around the bar between uses. The result is a bar that dries properly after every shower instead of sitting in a puddle of water. This single change can significantly extend the life of your soap — a wet bar dissolves much faster than one that drains and dries between uses.

Our soap ladders are made from wood and are available in two styles — light wood and dark wood — to suit different bathroom aesthetics. The open ladder design is both functional and visually clean, adding a natural, refined touch to any shower shelf or sink.

Our soap ladders measure 4.75in long by 3.5in wide — sized to comfortably fit our standard 5oz Private Oaks bar soaps as well as most other standard bar soaps.

Lifting your soap off the surface with a ladder allows the bar to fully dry between uses, preserving its shape and extending its life. Paired with a soap sleeve, you'll get maximum mileage out of every Private Oaks bar.

Simply rinse and dry your soap ladder periodically to prevent soap residue buildup. Avoid leaving it submerged in standing water for extended periods to preserve the wood finish. A quick wipe down once a week keeps it looking great.

Both styles function identically — the choice is purely aesthetic. Light wood has a clean, natural look that pairs well with bright or minimalist bathrooms. Dark wood has a richer, more dramatic feel that suits moody or earthy bathroom styles. Both pair beautifully with any Private Oaks bar.
