French Green Clay is one of the most revered clays in natural skin care. Mined from ancient marine deposits in France, it gets its distinctive green color from decomposed plant matter and iron oxides. It has a remarkable ability to draw out impurities, toxins, and excess oil from the skin while delivering a rich concentration of minerals including silica, magnesium, and calcium. It's particularly well suited for sensitive, reactive, or problem skin because it cleanses deeply without irritating. It's one of the reasons our Unscented bar is so effective despite its simple formula.

Almost none. The Unscented bar has no added fragrance whatsoever. What you may notice is the very faint, natural scent of organic shea butter and a subtle earthiness from the French Green Clay — both of which dissipate quickly after rinsing. It's as close to truly scent-free as a handcrafted natural soap can get.

With daily use, expect 2–4 weeks from a single bar, dependent upon individual lather style and storage. To get the most out of it, let the bar dry between uses — a soap ladder or soap rest makes a big difference. A wet bar sitting in a puddle will dissolve faster than one that drains and dries properly.
